A Point in Time (Rhyming Poem)--This poem was based on research from "UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA AT SANTA BARBARA CONFERENCE EXAMINES GREEK ARCHITECTURE." I choose to do a poem because the beautiful greek temples were almost meant to put to words, and i had an easy and fun time doing so.
Columns (Dictionary Entry)--I picked a dictionary entry for my piece about columns because I thought it was a great to start off the reader with a basic understanding of columns and how they relate to Greek architecture. The research that I displayed was from an article called “All you need to know about columns.”
The White House (Stream of Conscious)--A stream of conscious was a perfect fit to show my research on the white from White House, because it helped my sell to you, the reader, facts in an artillery fashion, but still allowing it to make sense.
(Blog)--After doing blogs in class, I really liked doing these top 10s and top 5s. I think doing one is a fun way to share information in and easy to understand way, and give good examples that we all know and many of us have seen in the real world. B
The Passing of a God (Obituary)--An obituary is the perfect way to give all the accomplishments of Alexander the Great, which is why I picked it. Obituaries are meant to honor the deceased, and that's what I wanted to do. My research came from an article called “Alexander the Great Read.”
The Trip of a Lifetime (memoir)--I picked a memoir because I wanted to explain the ancient city of Athens through the eyes of someone has never seen a city, much less the Athens. My research was mostly from "UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA AT SANTA BARBARA CONFERENCE EXAMINES GREEK ARCHITECTURE."
Neoclassic (Acrostic)--Acrostic poems was just a fun way for me to express what neoclassicism is through poems. My research was done from "UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA AT SANTA BARBARA CONFERENCE EXAMINES GREEK ARCHITECTURE."
Modern Greek Architecture Recipe (Recipe)-- Because all buildings are made up of “ingredients” (ex. concrete, marble, wood) the first thing that came to me was doing a recipe. The research was from "Architecture: A Road Map to the Architecture of America."
The Greatest Architect of all Time (Stream of Conscious)-- This research was done form "UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA AT SANTA BARBARA CONFERENCE EXAMINES GREEK ARCHITECTURE." and it was the perfect multigenre piece to display this research because it allows me to throw facts at the reader and give a thorough explanation of who he is and what he did.
